I=B=R Schools: Training in Hydronic Heating systems using Baseboards and Radiators
For contractors, wholesalers, plumbers, and heating equipment installers, there is expert training available in basic Hydronic Heating system design and installation. This training is provided by the I=B=R Schools, which were developed by the manufacturers of the Hydronic Institute Division of GAMA. The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI)
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is the trade association representing manufacturers of air conditioning, heating and commercial refrigeration equipment. AHRI's 350+ member companies account for more than 90 percent of the residential and commercial air conditioning, space heating, water heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment manufactured and sold in North America.

AHRI is an active force on important issues that affect the HVACR industry in Washington, in the states and around the globe. All AHRI members benefit from the association's advocacy efforts. Our professional staff represent the industry before Congress, federal agencies, and in the courts. While working to advance a positive legislative and regulatory agenda for our member companies, we are promoting the industry's legacy of technological innovation, environmental stewardship and economic contribution.

The Hydronics Industry Alliance is a coalition of members of the Hydronics Institute Section of AHRI. Hydronics Institute Section members participate in AHRI's Efficiency Certification Program. This voluntary Certification Program provides consumers, contractors, system designers, wholesalers, utilities, and federal and local government agencies with valuable, independent third-party verification of efficiency and capacity claims. The procedures and requirements vary depending on the program but each randomly selects and tests product samples on an annual basis to ensure compliance within prescribed tolerances to manufacturer claims and federal minimums. The Canadian Hydronics Council
The Canadian Hydronics Council is the voice of the Canadian hydronics industry representing manufacturers, distributors, and installers. Our mission is to promote the responsible growth of and contribute to the prosperity of our members and their customers. CHC does this via certification and technical training, codes and standards development, research and statistics, marketing, and contractor/regulator support and awareness. The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH)

The Council for Responsible Energy (CRE)
The Council for Responsible Energy (CRE) was formed in 2008 to educate and build awareness of Natural Gas as the most responsible energy choice. Consumers, builders and businesses can save energy, reduce emissions and help protect the environment without compromising performance or lifestyle by choosing Natural Gas.

The CRE is currently composed of more than 190 companies involved in the Natural Gas industry, including Natural Gas suppliers, Natural Gas marketing companies, transmission companies, distributors and appliance manufacturers and distributors.

The Energy Solutions Center (ESC) is a technology commercialization and market development organization representing energy utilities, municipal energy authorities, and equipment manufacturers and vendors. The mission of the Center is to accelerate the acceptance of and deployment of new energy-efficient, gas-fueled technologies that enhance the operations and productivity of commercial and industrial energy users, and improves comfort and reliability for residential energy users.
ESC is a 501©6 technology commercialization and market development organization representing 31 energy utilities, 13 municipal energy authorities, and 30 equipment manufacturers and vendors. The mission of the Center is to accelerate the acceptance of and deployment of new energy-efficient, gas-fueled technologies that improves comfort and reliability for residential energy users and enhance the operations and productivity of commercial and industrial energy users..


Heating, Airconditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International
Heating, Airconditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International is a trade organization dedicated to advancing the science of wholesale distribution in the HVACR industry. The business of our members is the marketing and distribution of heating, refrigeration, airconditioning equipment and supplies, sheet metal, controls, filters, and related items. Major customer classes include installation and service/replacement contractors in the residential and light commercial building markets, and commercial/industrial maintenance staffs. HARDI is a recent consolidation of two long time wholesale trade organizations – Northamerican Heating, Refrigeration & Airconditioning Wholesalers (NHRAW) and Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Wholesalers International (ARWI). The new organization represents over 450 wholesale companies, including 17 international companies, plus over 300 manufacturing associates and nearly 140 manufacturer representatives. NATE, North American Technician Excellence Inc., a leading independent, third-party certification body for HVAC/R technicians, tests technicians, which validates the technician's knowledge and a training program's instruction. NATE is the only certification program supported by all elements of the HVACR industry and has been awarded an endorsement from the Department of Energy. NATE-approved testing organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada offer NATE tests.
